Description
Guacamole with Coriander Seeds
Ingredients
- Avocado - 1 piece
- Onion - ½ head
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Potato - ½ piece
- Ground ancho chili pepper - 3 pieces
- Coriander essential oil - 4 pieces
- Meyer Lemon Juice - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion, green bell pepper, and tomato. Crush the coriander seeds in a mortar or directly on a cutting board with the flat side of a knife.
Step 2
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, but do not discard it. Use a spoon to scoop the flesh from the skin and place it in a bowl. Mash the flesh with a fork. Add the onion, bell pepper, chili, tomato, and coriander, season with salt, and mix in the lemon juice to prevent the vegetables from losing their color.
Step 3
Mix everything well, transfer to a serving bowl, and garnish with the avocado pit. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Step 4
Before serving, remove the chili peppers. This spicy sauce is great with cold meats or as a snack with crackers.
