  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Milk - 12 fl oz
  • Sugar - 12 fl oz
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Poppy seed paste - 14.1 oz
  • Orange zest - 1 piece
  • Wheat Flour - 11.1 oz
  • Butter - 9.9 oz
  • Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Prepare the filling: wash the lemon and grate the zest.

Step 10

Bake until golden brown for about 20 minutes.

Step 2

In a saucepan, heat the milk, add sugar (240 ml), honey, and 3 tablespoons of butter, bring the mixture to a boil, then add the poppy seeds.

Step 3

Cook on low heat for 10–15 minutes, then remove from heat, add the lemon zest, and let cool.

Step 4

Prepare the dough: wash the orange and grate the zest, sift the flour.

Step 5

Cream the butter with sugar (120 ml), add the orange zest, baking powder, egg, and flour.

Step 6

Knead a uniform dough, roll it out to a thickness of 3–4 mm, and cut out circles with a glass.

Step 7

Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each dough circle, pinch the edges to form a triangle, leaving the top open.

Step 8

Preheat the oven to 356°F.

Step 9
