Description

It is very important to find the right dried mango, also known as dehydrated mango. Such mango can be purchased at stores specializing in natural food products (I found it at a local market). The candies are incredibly tender and delicious. Not overly sweet, they are very rich in flavor. Just the name of the candies evokes incredible romance. The flavor bouquet in these candies is simply perfect — aromatic mango, the softest cashews, sweet vanilla, and tart lime. A pinch of turmeric for color — and we get a bright tropical kiss in the form of the best candies in the world! And the best part — they are completely harmless!

Ingredients

  • Cashew - 5.3 oz
  • Mango - 3.5 oz
  • Honey - 2 teaspoons
  • White Beans - 1 piece
  • Orange zest - 1 piece
  • Turmeric - a pinch

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Soak the mango in cool water for 20–30 minutes, and soak the cashews for about 4 hours (set aside a handful of nuts dry, as we will need them for rolling). After that, drain the water, squeeze the mango, and place it in a food processor. Add the vanilla seeds, lime zest, honey, and turmeric. Blend everything until smooth.

Step 2

Now you can shape the candies from the resulting mixture. For this, chop the reserved handful of dry cashews (you can do this in advance) and spread them on a board or any other flat surface. Take a small amount of the candy mixture with a spoon and gently roll it into a ball, coating it in the nuts. The candies are very easy and quick to shape.

Step 3

Place the finished candies in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. For quick setting, you can put them in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
