- Sugar - 1½ cups
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Hazelnut - 7.1 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- 20% Sour Cream - 8.8 oz
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Vanilla salt - 2 teaspoons
- Wheat Flour - 1½ cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the batter, grind the hazelnuts (100 g) in a blender to a coarse crumb. It is preferable to have both large and small pieces. Whisk the eggs with sugar (1 cup) and 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar until fluffy and white. While continuing to whisk, add room temperature butter (100 g). Next, sift the flour with baking powder into the batter, mix, and add the nuts.
Step 2
Place half of the batter into a greased baking pan, put it in the oven, and bake for 25 minutes at 374°F. Bake the second layer in the same way.
Step 3
To prepare the cream, whip the chilled sour cream, gradually adding the remaining sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the butter, whip again, and fold in the chopped nuts.
Step 4
Spread 2/3 of the cream on the bottom layer, smooth it out, cover with the second layer, and spread the remaining cream on top. You can decorate with cocoa powder or grated chocolate.
Step 5
Place the cake in the refrigerator to soak for at least 8 hours.
