Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Butter - 6 oz
- Brown Sugar - 4 tablespoons
- Condensed Milk - 14.1 oz
- Chocolate - 5.3 oz
- Hazelnut - 1.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour into a bowl, add 120 g of diced cold butter, and rub it in until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add the sugar and knead the dough.
Step 2
Press the dough into the bottom of a rectangular baking dish lined with parchment paper and prick it with a fork.
Step 3
Bake at 180 °C for 15-20 minutes until the dough is golden brown. Let it cool in the dish.
Step 4
In a non-stick saucepan, combine 50 g of butter, sugar, and condensed milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
Step 5
Reduce the heat to the minimum and cook for about 5 minutes or longer until the mixture thickens, turns pale yellow, and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Step 6
Spread the mixture evenly over the crust. Allow it to cool.
Step 7
Once the mixture has cooled, melt the chocolate in a water bath.
Step 8
Place the nuts on top of the mixture, pour the melted chocolate over everything, and set it in a cool place.
Step 9
Cut into squares.
