Description
You will need 1 packet of yeast.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 16.9 oz
- Sugar - 1.1 oz
- Salt - 0.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Activated Baking Soda - a pinch
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Knead the dough. Dust with flour, place in a bag — make sure it's new, without any holes, even tiny ones!!!
Step 2
Release all the air and tie it as close to the handles of the bag as possible, then place it in a container with cold water — I use a large pot or even a bucket.
Step 3
The bag with the dough should sink! When it floats, you can take it out, remove it from the bag, and start working. This is good dough for any pastries with any filling; if the filling is savory, use less sugar in the dough.
Step 4
Then take a mold — I made one from a plastic bottle, cut out a circle, and with a stapler, I made a large heart and a tiny one — for the windows.
Step 5
Cut out hearts, spread jam on top, then place the second heart with windows on top, brush with egg, and attach the small hearts that were cut out from the windows.
Step 6
Bake very quickly, about 10–15 minutes — I also added chocolate glaze on top afterward.
