Ingredients
- Basil - 1 teaspoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Wheat Flour - 1½ cups
- Herbs - 0.7 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Butter - 4.2 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Sugar - to taste
- Milk - ½ cup
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Bring the milk to a boil and dissolve the sugar in it. Allow the milk to cool to 104°F.
Step 2
Pour the milk into a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in it. Add the butter, eggs, 1 cup of flour, and beat until smooth.
Step 3
Chop the herbs coarsely, combine with minced garlic, oregano, and basil. Add salt, pepper, and mix into the dough. Leave the dough in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Step 4
Grease a deep baking dish with butter. Place the dough in the dish, smooth it out, and let it sit for 40 minutes.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 6
Prepare the egg wash. For this, beat the yolk with milk.
Step 7
Brush the top of the bread with the egg wash and bake for 35 minutes.
