Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
- Dr.Oetker Dry Yeast - a pinch
- Sugar - 1.8 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - to taste
- Red Food Coloring - to taste
- Mini Chocolate Chips - to taste
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- "Dr. Oetker Vanilla Sugar" - 5.3 oz
- Pastry decorations - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to about 356°F (around 350 degrees Fahrenheit).
Step 2
For the shortcrust pastry, mix the flour with the baking powder in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix using a mixer (with the dough hook attachment) for a while on low speed, then on high speed until a dough forms. Roll the dough into a ball. Roll out the dough to about 0.5 cm thick on a floured surface, cut out cookies using cookie cutters, place them on the baking sheet, and bake for about 12 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the cookies from the baking sheet along with the parchment paper and cool on a wire rack.
Step 4
For decoration, prepare a syrup from powdered sugar and lemon juice, color it with food coloring. Cover the cookies with the icing made from powdered sugar and decorate with various decorative elements or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
