Description

It is better to use sour cream with 15% fat content, but you can use a richer one. The amount of nuts and poppy seeds is to taste. With this amount of condensed milk, the cake turns out crunchy and is only slightly soaked, so if you prefer softer cakes, you can increase the amount of condensed milk.

Ingredients

  • Condensed Milk - 1 can
  • Peeled Walnuts - 6 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 4 cups
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
  • Sugar - ½ cup
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Poppy seeds - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Beat the egg with sugar.

Step 2

Warm the butter to room temperature until it becomes soft. Mix it with sour cream and the beaten egg.

Step 3

Gradually add flour to the mixture to knead a thick dough.

Step 4

Pass the dough through a meat grinder. Spread the ground dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 5

Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 392°F (392 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake until done (it took me about fifteen minutes).

Step 6

After baking, cool the dough and break it into small pieces.

Step 7

Mix the dough with condensed milk and finely chopped walnuts.

Step 8

Form the cake into a mound and sprinkle poppy seeds on top.
