Description
Homemade cheese made from farm-fresh milk
Ingredients
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 3 tablespoons
- Butter - 0.1 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Dill - 3 tablespoons
- Milk - 1 qt
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the milk. As soon as it starts to boil, add the vinegar, butter, salt, and optionally, finely chopped dill. Remove from heat and stir. Bring it back to a boil (make sure the mixture boils well) so that the milk separates and the whey is released.
Step 2
Take a strainer and cover it with a double layer of cheesecloth, pour the milk through the strainer. Squeeze the curd well and wrap it in the cheesecloth. Place the curd in another container and put it under a weight (once the curd cools, you can place it in the refrigerator).
Step 3
After 12 hours, the cheese is ready to be cut and served.
