Description

It's best to prepare this in the evening and enjoy it for breakfast in the morning :) You can add any ingredients you like; this is just a good example. The cheese turns out rather mild and soft, similar to 'Adyghe cheese.' It slices easily and can be placed on bread.

Ingredients

  • 20% Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
  • Scallions - 1 bunch
  • Salt - 2 teaspoons
  • Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
  • Milk - 1 qt
  • Ground Caraway - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Put the milk on the stove to boil, and in the meantime, mix the sour cream with the eggs and salt in a separate pot.

Step 2

Finely chop a small bunch of green onions.

Step 3

When the milk boils, reduce the heat and slowly pour in the egg mixture while stirring the milk with a spoon.

Step 4

Cook the mixture on low heat for about 10 minutes until the whey separates. At the end of cooking, add the herbs and caraway seeds.

Step 5

To separate the unwanted whey, pour the mixture into a sieve lined with two layers of cheesecloth.

Step 6

When all the whey has drained, transfer the cheese to a small bowl, cover it with the ends of the cheesecloth, and place a weight on top, such as a jar of water. It's important to understand that whey will continue to separate from the cheese, so place the setup on a plate to catch the draining whey.

Step 7

After an hour, when the cheese has completely cooled, put it in the refrigerator.

Step 8

After 4–6 hours, you can remove the finished cheese from the mold.
