- Brown Sugar - 1¼ cups
- Granulated sugar - 1.6 cups
- Butter - 8.5 oz
- Light Corn Syrup - 1 cup
- Cream (40%) - 1¼ cups
- Milk - ¾ cup
- Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine both sugars, butter, corn syrup, cream, milk, and vanilla. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook until the syrup reaches 239°F, until a good caramel is formed.
Step 2
Meanwhile, generously grease a 20x20 cm square pan with vegetable oil.
Step 3
Pour the caramel into the pan and let it set.
Step 4
Cut into rectangles and wrap in paper.
