Homemade Plum Pie
Ingredients
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Sugar - 8.8 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - ½ spoons
- Plums - 6 pieces
- Lemon - ½ pieces
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Add sugar (200 g) to the softened butter (120 g) and beat until light and fluffy.
Step 2
Crack in the eggs one at a time, waiting for each egg to be fully incorporated before adding the next.
Step 3
Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift it, and gradually incorporate it into the dough.
Step 4
Add salt and knead the dough until smooth.
Step 5
Line a 23-25 cm diameter baking pan with parchment paper and grease it with butter. Place the dough on the parchment.
Step 6
Cut the plums in half and remove the pits.
Step 7
Squeeze lemon juice over the plums and mix well.
Step 8
Arrange the halved plums on the dough and gently press them in.
Step 9
Mix the remaining sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle it over the top of the pie. Bake for about 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 356°F. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
Step 10
Let the finished pie cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes.
