Description
Making shawarma at home is quite simple, and the result turns out just the way you want it, because you can add ingredients to your taste.
Ingredients
- Armenian Lavash - 4 pieces
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 1 piece
- Sweet Red Onion - 1 piece
- White Cabbage - 1 piece
- Cucumbers - 2 pieces
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Sweet Pepper - 1 piece
- Parsley - 1 bunch
- Sour Cream - 8.8 oz
- Garlic - to taste
- Champagne Vinegar - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, prepare the sauce so that it sits for a while and all the flavors blend well. For this, add chopped parsley, crushed garlic, salt to the sour cream, and mix everything well.
Step 2
For the meat component, I used boiled chicken breast, cooked in advance. Cut the breast into small pieces and quickly fry in hot vegetable oil, stirring constantly — it will retain its juiciness.
Step 3
Then marinate the finely chopped sweet red onion in salt, sugar, and wine vinegar.
Step 4
Chop all the vegetables.
Step 5
Cut the lavash into strips of the desired length and spread sauce on half, then layer the vegetable and meat fillings on top.
Step 6
Carefully and tightly roll the lavash with the filling, starting from the right side, into a tube and quickly fry on a very hot grill pan (or a regular one) on both sides.
