Honey Cake is a traditional dessert made with layers of honey-flavored sponge cake and creamy filling. - Honey - 2 spoons
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 glass
- Butter - 15 oz
- Wheat Flour - 3½ glasses
- Walnuts - to taste
- Sweetened Condensed Milk with Coffee - 1½ cans
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a double boiler, melt 125 grams of butter, add sugar and honey, stir, and heat while occasionally stirring. The mixture should become smooth and homogeneous.
Step 2
Add baking powder (if you don't have baking powder on hand, baking soda can be used in the same amount) and stir until the mixture becomes pale. Remove from the heat and let it cool.
Step 3
Add the eggs and mix well. Then gently incorporate the flour and knead into a soft dough. Divide the dough into 6-8 pieces and roll out the crusts (it's easiest to roll the dough directly in the pan by pressing it down with a spoon, as the dough is quite soft and may stick to the rolling pin). Bake the crusts in a preheated oven at 170-356°F for about 5-10 minutes.

For the cream, beat 300 grams of softened butter with a mixer until fluffy.
Step 5
Then, while continuing to whisk, gradually add the boiled condensed milk to the butter in small portions and whip everything together until you achieve a light and fluffy uniform mixture.
Step 6
Stack the finished cake layers on top of each other and trim the edges evenly using a knife. Spread cream between the layers and stack them one on top of the other. Coat the top layer with cream as well, and cover the sides of the cake too. Decorate with crushed walnuts.
