Honey Cake with Apples, Hazelnuts, and Sour Cream Frosting

Ingredients

  • Sugar - 14.1 oz
  • Egg white - 3 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 12.7 oz
  • Honey - 11.6 oz
  • Margarine - 8.8 oz
  • Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
  • Sour Cream - 2.6 oz
  • Apple - 2 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Melt the margarine and mix it with the flour, 200 g of sugar, and eggs. Bring the honey to a boil, add the baking soda, and slowly pour it into the main mixture while constantly stirring. Knead the dough and refrigerate it for 1.5 hours.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 356°F.

Step 3

Divide the dough into 4 parts and bake 4 layers.

Step 4

When the layers have cooled, assemble the cake, layering it with the frosting. To prepare the frosting, whip the sour cream with the sugar and mix it with the peeled and grated apples. Fold in the chopped hazelnuts.

Step 5

Place the cake in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
