Honey Cake with Berries
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 14.1 oz
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Condensed Milk - 1 can
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh Berries - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a bowl over a water bath, melt 100 g of butter, add sugar and honey. Stir until smooth. After a couple of minutes, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda (without a heap), stir and heat for 1 minute, then remove from the water bath.
Step 2
Add the eggs and flour to the bowl, knead the dough (the dough should not be too stiff). Refrigerate the dough for 30–40 minutes.
Step 3
Next, roll the dough into a rope and divide it into 8–9 equal parts.
Step 4
Roll each piece thinly and bake for 3–5 minutes in an oven preheated to 392°F until golden brown.
Step 5
Remove the cakes from the baking sheet while they are hot and trim the edges using a plate (at least 20 cm in diameter).
Step 6
While the cakes cool, prepare the cream. Whip 300 g of room temperature butter until fluffy. While continuing to whip, add the condensed milk and mix thoroughly until smooth.
Step 7
Assemble the cake by spreading cream on each layer and decorating with fresh berries (as shown in the photo).
