Honey Cake with Peanuts
Ingredients
- Sugar - 1½ cups
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 4 cups
- Butter - 10.6 oz
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Condensed Milk - 1 can
- Nuts - 1 cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar.
Step 2
Melt 100 grams of butter in a water bath.
Step 3
Gradually add the hot butter to the beaten eggs with sugar while stirring continuously. Add baking soda and liquid honey.
Step 4
Gradually sift in the flour to achieve a soft dough. Divide into 8 parts. Roll each part thinly and prick with a fork to ensure even baking.
Step 5
Bake each layer for 2 minutes on a baking sheet or thin pan in the oven at 392°F.
Step 6
Trim each layer using a plate or pot lid.
Step 7
Spread cream on each layer: mix 200 grams of soft butter with condensed milk. Assemble the cake. Spread cream on the sides and top of the cake.
Step 8
Crush the nuts and the trimmings from the layers. Sprinkle the sides and top of the cake.
Step 9
Let the finished cake sit in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
