Honey Cake with Prunes and Walnuts
Ingredients
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Powdered Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Pitted Wild Apricots - 7.1 oz
- Walnuts - 8.8 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 17.6 oz
- Honey Cake Layers - 5 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the sour cream, sugar (to taste), and powdered sugar until smooth.
Step 2
Chop half of the package of prunes into not very small pieces, and reserve the other half for decoration.
Step 3
In a blender, crush half of the walnuts (this will be the topping), crush the other half but not too finely, and set aside a third for decoration.
Step 4
Spread each cake layer with the mixture and sprinkle with prunes and walnuts (the ones that were not crushed too finely).
Step 5
When the last layer is spread, top it with crushed walnuts (the topping) and decorate with whole prunes and walnuts.
Step 6
Let it sit overnight (not in the cold) to soak.
