Description
Cherry tomatoes can easily be replaced with regular ones without compromising the flavor. You can use either homemade or store-bought pesto sauce.
Ingredients
- Marinated cherries - 17.6 oz
- Melted Cheese - 7.1 oz
- Sourdough Bread - 4 pieces
- Pesto - 12 teaspoons
- Arugula - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 2
Remove the mozzarella from its packaging and let it drain. Slice it into pieces.
Step 3
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
Step 4
Spread pesto sauce on the toast and place the toast on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Then, add tomatoes and cheese on top of the toast. Drizzle a bit more sauce on top.
Step 5
Bake the sandwiches in a hot oven for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
Step 6
When the sandwiches are ready, sprinkle a little salt and pepper on top and add some chopped arugula.
