Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 20 oz
- Butter - 10 oz
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve.
Step 2
Grate the butter and combine it with the cottage cheese.
Step 3
Add flour, salt, and baking soda (activated with vinegar).
Step 4
Knead the dough, divide it into 32 parts, roll into balls (the size of a large walnut), and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the dough, roll each ball into a flat round about 4–5 mm thick. Fold each round into quarters, dip in granulated sugar (if desired), and place on a baking sheet.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 340°F for 35–40 minutes.
