Italian Plum and Berry Sorbet
Ingredients
- Plums - 17.6 oz
- Water - 8 fl oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Frozen black currant puree - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pit the plums and place them in a pot. Add water, sugar, and frozen berries. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then slightly reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and cook for about 8 minutes until the plums and berries are soft, stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Transfer to a blender and puree until smooth. Then strain through a sieve, pressing out all the juice. Chill the puree in the refrigerator.
Step 3
Transfer to an ice cream maker and freeze. Alternatively, pour into a container and place in the freezer until set, stirring every 30-40 minutes.
