Ingredients
- Couscous - 4.4 oz
- Honey - 5 tablespoons
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 8.8 oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Pistachios - 1.8 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon - ¼ teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Boiling water - 8 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour boiling water over the couscous and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve and mix it with 2 tablespoons of honey.
Step 3
Combine the couscous with the melted butter, beaten egg, and salt.
Step 4
Grease the molds with butter. Fill halfway with couscous, spread the cottage cheese mixture, and cover again with couscous. Smooth it out and bake for 15 minutes at 392°F.
Step 5
Finely chop the pistachios.
Step 6
In the remaining honey, add cinnamon and a little water. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
Step 7
Sprinkle the finished kodafa with pistachios and drizzle with honey syrup.
