Kefir Cake with Raisins and Nuts
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 15.9 oz
- Sugar - 10.6 oz
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Kefir - 17 fl oz
- Chocolate eggs - 4 pieces
- Nuts - 1.8 oz
- Raisins - 1.8 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - ½ tablespoon
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar and a pinch of salt, add softened butter, flour, kefir, raisins, and chopped nuts.
Step 2
Add baking soda and lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients well.
Step 3
Pour the batter into a mold and bake in a preheated oven at medium heat for 15–20 minutes, then at low heat for another 20–25 minutes (I baked it at 356°F for 20 minutes, then covered the cake with foil and baked for another 30 minutes. Baking time may vary depending on the oven!).
Step 4
Once cooled, sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar.
