Ingredients

  • Kefir - ½ l
  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Sugar - 2 spoons
  • Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
  • Vanilla salt - to taste
  • Activated Baking Soda - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
  • Vegetable Oil - 3 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

The preparation of the dough begins with kefir. Pour the kefir into a pot and place it on the stove over low heat. Immediately add the baking soda to it. There is no need to neutralize it; the acidity of the kefir will react with the baking soda. As soon as the kefir warms up slightly, the soda will react, creating a fluffy foam.

Step 2

Now, take the pot off the heat. The kefir will be warm, and the baking soda will react, so you won't taste it in the pancakes. If you don't have baking powder, it's not a problem; you can still make fluffy pancakes without it.

Step 3

Next, add the eggs, sugar, and vanilla to the kefir and beat everything together. Gradually add the flour in small portions and mix thoroughly with a mixer.

Step 4

Vegetable oil is added last, after all the other ingredients have already dissolved into the batter.

Step 5

Pour half of the batter into a preheated skillet greased with vegetable oil and spread it slightly in a circular motion across the pan. Cook the pancakes over low heat. As soon as you see bubbles starting to break on the surface, flip the pancake. If using a non-stick crepe pan, there is no need to grease it with oil.

Step 6

After frying, brush the pancakes with butter. Enjoy your meal!
