Ingredients

  • Cod fillet - 8.8 oz
  • White Cabbage - 21.2 oz
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Scallions - 1.1 oz
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Dill - 1.1 oz
  • Cucumber Brine - 3 spoons
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Kefir - 10 fl oz
  • Wheat Flour - 7.8 oz
  • Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
  • Sour Cream - 3 spoons
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Prepare all the ingredients.

Prepare the filling. Finely chop the cabbage and onion, and sauté them in vegetable oil for 5 minutes.

Reduce the heat, pour the brine over the cabbage, add finely chopped garlic, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer until completely tender, about 20 minutes.

Finally, stir in the finely chopped green onions and dill.

Cut the fish into small pieces.

Prepare the dough. Melt the butter, let it cool, and mix it with the kefir and sour cream.

Combine the flour with the baking powder, sift it into the mixture of butter and eggs, and knead the dough. It should be liquid enough to pour from the mold, similar to thick sour cream. Therefore, it's better to add the flour gradually rather than all at once, achieving the desired consistency.

Spread the cabbage on top and smooth it out.

Pour the remaining dough over the filling. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 356°F for 35–40 minutes.
