Description
Kozinaki, dear friends! We made them from walnuts, but you can use seeds, almonds, peanuts—whatever you like.
Ingredients
- Walnuts - 10.6 oz
- Honey - 8.1 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 2.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Pour the honey into the pot.
Step 3
Add powdered sugar and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Remove from heat and let it sit for 30 minutes, then bring it back to a boil, set aside for another half hour, and repeat once more.
Step 5
While the honey is heating, roughly chop the nuts.
Step 6
Bring the honey to a boil for the fourth time and add the nuts.
Step 7
It's important to stir them continuously, or they may stick to the bottom.
Step 8
Place the nut and honey mixture onto a wooden board and shape it into a patty about 1.5 centimeters thick. The caramel is very hot, so it's essential to wet your hands with ice-cold water to avoid burns.
Step 9
Let the mixture set slightly. Then cut it into portion-sized pieces.
Step 10
Serve when the sesame candies are completely cooled.
