Lamb Samosas
Ingredients
- Lamb - 23.3 oz
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Salt - 2 teaspoons
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - 1½ teaspoons
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 6.3 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Toasted Sesame - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the lamb using a sharp knife.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and add it to the meat. Add salt and black pepper.
Step 3
Mix well by hand. Place the filling in the refrigerator.
Step 4
Cut the sheets of puff pastry into small rounds.
Step 5
Roll out all pieces of dough into rounds.
Step 6
Fill them with the meat filling. Preheat the oven to 428°F.
Step 7
Fold into triangles.
Step 8
Mix 1 egg with 2 tablespoons of water. Brush the samosas with the egg mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Grease the baking sheet with butter and place the pastries on it.
Step 9
Bake until golden brown: 20 minutes at 419°F, then reduce to 347°F and bake for another 15–20 minutes.
