Ingredients
- Water - 17 fl oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Vanilla salt - 1 teaspoon
- Dry yeast - 1.1 oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 2 lbs
- Vegetable Oil - 4 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the yeast dough.
Step 2
Roll the finished dough into a rope and divide it into 40 equal parts.
Step 3
Roll each piece of dough into a rope 15 cm long.
Step 4
Tie the rope into a knot, shaping one end into a bird's head.
Step 5
Flatten the other end slightly and make several cuts to resemble a bird's tail.
Step 6
Make eyes from raisins (cut the raisin into several pieces).
Step 7
Place the larks on a greased baking sheet and put them in a warm place to rise slightly.
Step 8
When the larks have risen, brush them with vegetable oil or sweet tea.
Step 9
Bake the buns for 20–25 minutes at 356°F.
Step 10
Remove the finished larks from the baking sheet, place them on a wooden surface, lightly spray with water, cover with a towel, and let rest for 10–15 minutes.
