Layered Cake with Berries
Ingredients
- Whole egg - 4 pieces
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Wheat Flour - 1.8 oz
- Vanillin - a pinch
- Milk - 17 fl oz
- Frozen black currant puree - 10.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the pastry, cut it into 5 pieces of the desired size. Place each piece on a baking sheet and prick with a fork. Bake for 5 minutes at 250°C in a well-preheated oven.
Step 2
In a saucepan, mix the yolks, sugar, vanillin, and flour. Gradually add hot milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Step 3
Layer the cakes, spreading cream and placing berries in between.
Step 4
Crush the last cake and sprinkle it on top of the layered cake.
Step 5
Pour boiling water over the berries and use them to decorate the cake.
Step 6
Let the cake sit in the refrigerator for a few hours.
