Ingredients
- Potato - 2 lbs
- Onion - 1 head
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Toasted Cumin Seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil leaves - 14.1 oz
- Feta cheese - 14.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the potatoes, peel them, and boil in salted water; cool and slice.
Step 2
Chop the onion and sauté in vegetable oil. Add minced garlic, cumin, and cook for 1–2 minutes. Add spinach. Sauté until the spinach is soft. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 3
Crumble the cheese into pieces.
Step 4
Add the sliced potatoes, cheese, beaten eggs, salt, and pepper to the spinach. Mix well.
Step 5
Grease a round baking dish with butter. Roll out three thin crusts from the dough.
Step 6
Place one crust in the dish, add part of the filling, then the second crust and more filling, and cover with the last crust.
Step 7
Brush the pie with melted butter and bake for 45 minutes.
