Layered Samsa with Beef
Ingredients
- Beef - 17.6 oz
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - ½ cup
- Toasted Sesame - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the beef into small cubes.
Step 2
Also chop the onion into small cubes and add it to the meat. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Take the ready-made puff pastry out of the package and thaw it.
Step 4
Roll the dough into a 'sausage', then cut it into small, even 'cylinders'. Stand them vertically and flatten them to form small discs.
Step 5
Coat the resulting discs in flour, then roll them out thinly with a rolling pin to an even thickness.
Step 6
Place the filling onto the prepared circles with a spoon.
Step 7
Fold the samsa into a triangle.
Step 8
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the samsa evenly, seam side down.
Step 9
Brush the top of the samsa with vegetable oil to help it brown better. Sprinkle the tops of the pastries with sesame seeds.
Step 10
Place the meat samsa in a preheated oven at 392°F and bake for 30–40 minutes.
