Description
These are traditional Norwegian potato flatbreads. They can be stored in the refrigerator in plastic bags and even frozen.
Ingredients
- Mashed Potatoes - 21.2 oz
- Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Heavy cream - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 1½ cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix all ingredients except for the flour, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled. Add the flour and mix. Heat a lefse griddle or any other skillet.
Step 2
Shape the dough into a long roll and cut into 12 pieces. Form each piece into a ball.
Step 3
Roll out very thinly with a rolling pin. Dust the board with flour when flipping.
Step 4
Bake on an ungreased skillet until brown spots appear.
Step 5
Flip and bake on the other side.
Step 6
Layer the finished flatbreads between 2 towels and let cool.
