- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 fl oz
- Citrus Zest Mix - 1 tablespoon
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Butter - 1.1 oz
- Salt - ½ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F. Fill a deep baking tray halfway with boiling water and place it in the oven.
Step 2
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whisk the yolks with the butter, lemon zest, and lemon juice until smooth. Combine the sugar, sifted flour, and salt, then mix half of this mixture into the whipped yolks. Add half of the milk, then the remaining flour mixture, stirring to combine, and finally fold in the rest of the milk.
Step 3
Whip the egg whites until fluffy and glossy, gently fold them into the batter, pour it into a baking pan, and place it in the oven, immersing the pan in hot water.
Step 4
Bake for about forty-five minutes. After baking, let it cool slightly and serve.
