Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 4.9 oz
- Sugar - 8.8 oz
- Butter - 5.6 oz
- Vanilla salt - 0.9 oz
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 3 spoons
- Starch film - 0.7 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Using a mixer, combine the flour, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 110 g of butter, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt. The mixture should resemble coarse crumbs.
Step 2
Line the bottom of a 20 cm square baking pan with parchment paper. Use your hands to spread the dough evenly across the bottom of the pan, without creating any edges. Bake the crust for 25 minutes at 356°F.
Step 3
Cut the lemon with the peel (be sure to remove the seeds) and blend it with the eggs, remaining butter, lemon juice, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Then add the sugar and blend everything well again.
Step 4
Pour the filling over the baked crust and bake for another 25 minutes at the same temperature.
Step 5
Cut the cooled pie into squares and dust with powdered sugar.
