Ingredients
- Dry yeast - 0.2 oz
- Water - 2 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 5 cups
- Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - 3 teaspoons
- Sugar - 4 teaspoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Fat - 1 cup
- Buttermilk - 16.9 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast in slightly warm water.
Step 2
In a large bowl, sift the flour with the other dry ingredients.

Add the buttermilk.
Step 4
Then add the yeast mixture.
Step 5
Stir until the flour is moistened.
Step 6
Knead on a floured board for one to two minutes. Roll out to the desired thickness and cut with a cookie cutter.

Bake at 205°C for about 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Step 8
The resulting dough can be stored in the refrigerator and used as needed for several weeks.

The cookies should not rise before baking.
