Description
Light Chocolate Mousse
Ingredients
- Liquid dark chocolate - 1.8 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- 20% Sour Cream - 2 tablespoons
- Raw cane sugar - to taste
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the dark chocolate (I recommend 60% or higher) in a water bath.
Step 2
Separate the yolks from the whites. Mix the yolks, beaten with sugar, into the melted cooled chocolate. Add a couple of tablespoons of sour cream (can be replaced with whipped heavy cream).
Step 3
In a separate bowl, whip the chilled egg whites with a pinch of salt. Gently fold them into the mousse. The egg whites (to 'stiff peaks'!) give the dessert its lightness.
Step 4
Garnish with sifted cocoa powder or grated chocolate to your liking. Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
Step 5
Serve chilled. Enjoy with a small spoon ;)
