Description
Light Strawberry Sorbet
Ingredients
- Strawberry - 15.9 oz
- 1% Kefir - 1 cup
- Powdered Sugar - 6.3 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the strawberries and remove the stems.
Step 2
Squeeze the lemon juice.
Step 3
Place the strawberries in a large pot and sprinkle them with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Using a fork, mash the strawberries to release their juice. Add the kefir, lemon juice, and remaining powdered sugar to the strawberry mixture. Mix well. Cover the pot with a lid and refrigerate for 2–3 hours.
Step 4
After the time has passed, take the sorbet out of the refrigerator and transfer it to an ice cream maker and churn for 20–40 minutes. At the end of churning, fill a container with the resulting mixture and place it in the freezer for 3–4 hours until fully set.
Step 5
If you don't have an ice cream maker, immediately transfer the sorbet to a container and place it in the freezer. Take the container out and stir the contents every half hour until set.
