Lightly Salted Cucumbers in a Bucket
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 52.9 oz
- Horseradish Leaves - 6 pieces
- Dill - 6 pieces
- Cherry - 10 pieces
- Garlic - 1 head
- Green peppercorns - 10 pieces
- Salt - 2 tablespoons
- Bay leaf - 6 pieces
- Mild Chili Spice - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Thoroughly wash the cucumbers under running water and trim the ends.
Step 3
Clean a 3-liter bucket well with baking soda. Place the horseradish leaves at the bottom of the bucket.
Step 4
On top of the horseradish leaves in the bucket, place half of the peeled and washed garlic and 3 bay leaves.
Step 5
Wash the dill flowers and cherry leaves well, and place half of them at the bottom of the bucket.
Step 6
Layer about half of the cucumbers in the bucket. On top of the cucumbers, add some horseradish leaves, dill flowers, garlic, peppercorns, cherry leaves, and bay leaves.
Step 7
Fill the bucket to the top with the remaining cucumbers, the chili pepper, and the dill flowers.
Step 8
In a clean 1.5-liter jar, pour in water, add 2 tablespoons of salt, and mix well. Pour the water into the bucket with the cucumbers.
Step 9
Place the horseradish leaves on top of the cucumbers.
Step 10
Cover the bucket with a lid. Leave it at room temperature for a day. Be sure to place a plate under the bucket.
Step 11
After a day, the cucumbers are ready to be served. Store in the refrigerator.
