Description

I really love to eat delicious food, including my beloved pancakes. Since I'm watching my figure, this morning I came up with this interpretation of a classic American recipe (you can find this recipe here on the website: http://eda.ru/breakfast/recipe39690). It's very tasty with coffee with milk for breakfast! Filling and healthy! And most importantly — it won't harm your figure! ;)

Ingredients

  • Oat flakes - 1 cup
  • Skim Milk - 1 cup
  • Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Feta cheese - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mix 1 cup of oat flakes with 1/3 cup of milk (the milk should be at room temperature).

Step 2

Whisk the remaining milk with the egg (until frothy), add sugar, and whisk again.

Step 3

Thoroughly mix the oat flakes with the milk, add the milk whipped with the eggs and sugar, one tablespoon of flour, and whisk everything again, then add the baking soda.

Step 4

Let it sit for at least 40 minutes.

Step 5

After that, stir gently with a large spoon from the bottom up until smooth.

Step 6

Cook on a preheated skillet (for the first pancake, grease the skillet with oil; for all the others, cook without oil).

Step 7

Cook until bubbles appear, flip, and cook for another 8–10 seconds.

Step 8

Serve with feta cheese (any other cheese or filling can be added; feel free to add fruits).
