- Kefir - 7 fl oz
- Safflower Oil - 3 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 12.3 oz
- Dry yeast - 0.3 oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Onion - 1 head
- Lean Beef - 7.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Warm the kefir and oil and pour them into a deep bowl.
Step 2
Add sugar.
Step 3
Sprinkle in the yeast and mix with a wooden spatula.
Step 4
Add salt and stir.
Step 5
Sift the flour through a sieve, mixing gradually.
Step 6
Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Place it in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Finely chop the onion and sauté in sunflower oil until golden brown.
Step 8
Add the ground beef and cook until done.
Step 9
Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Pour in water, cover with a lid, and simmer for 5–7 minutes until the water evaporates.

Divide the dough into 15 pieces.

Roll out a small round piece the size of your palm.

Place the meat filling in the center.

Pinch the edges tightly.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease with sunflower oil.

Brush each pie with egg yolk. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
