Melon Sorbet with Vodka
Ingredients
- Glucose Powder - 1.4 oz
- Sorbet Stabilizer - 0.1 oz
- Sugar - 1.8 oz
- Water - 17 fl oz
- Watermelon - 14.1 oz
- Banana puree - 3.5 oz
- Vodka - 3 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Remove seeds and skin from the melon and cut it into random pieces.
Step 3
Blend the melon pieces in a blender until pureed.
Step 4
Pass the melon puree through a fine sieve.
Step 5
Combine water, sugar, glucose syrup, and stabilizer in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Step 6
Return the melon puree to the blender, add banana puree and vodka, and blend them together.
Step 7
Pour the warm syrup into the blender with the puree and blend again.
Step 8
Transfer the mixture to a container and place it in the freezer for 5 hours.
Step 9
Occasionally take the container out of the freezer and stir the mixture to ensure it freezes evenly.
Step 10
Serve the melon sorbet on a hot summer day.
