Description
Meringues don't always turn out right, even on the third try. For me, they came out perfectly on the eighth attempt, and now every subsequent batch is flawless, so I'm a pro!
Ingredients
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Egg white - 3 pieces
- Vanilla salt - 2 spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
Place the sugar in a bowl.
Step 3
Mix 150 g of sugar and 2 teaspoons (or more, for a stronger aroma throughout the house) of vanilla sugar.
Step 4
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. You can use two small bowls; carefully pour the egg whites into one and keep the yolks in the other (you can cover them with foil, put them in the refrigerator, and use them for something later). It's important to use a powerful mixer. If everything is in order, 3 to 5 minutes should be enough to achieve a stiff foam that won't fall out, even if you turn the mixing bowl upside down.
Step 5
Pour the sugar from the cup and continue whisking for another 5 minutes, until the sugar is somewhat dissolved and the mixture has a frothy consistency. To check if it's perfect, you can run the beaters across the surface of the foam; if the marks remain still, then you're good!
Step 6
Place the egg whites in a piping bag with various nozzles (something like a pastry bag, but simpler). You can make small meringues or large ones.
Step 7
Line a baking tray with parchment paper, ensuring it fits the size.
Step 8
Arrange the future meringues on it in any shape.

Step 9
Place in the oven at 248°F for 50 to 80 minutes.
Step 10
Serve.
