Microwave Cake in 3 Minutes

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 4 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 4 tablespoons
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sour Cream - 2 tablespoons
  • Activated Baking Soda - a pinch

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Mix the dry ingredients in a small bowl.

Step 2

Beat in the 2 eggs. Add the oil. To keep the cake moist, don't forget to add the sour cream.

Step 3

Dissolve the baking soda with vinegar and add it to the batter. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, preferably using a mixer. The batter should be of medium thickness.

Step 4

Pour the batter into small molds, filling them halfway (I use silicone molds). Remember that the batter will rise significantly in the microwave. If you don't have molds, you can make a chocolate cake in a microwave-safe mug or a small bowl. There's no need to grease the molds, as the batter has enough oil.

Step 5

Place in the microwave at maximum power. After one and a half minutes, remove the cakes if you are using small molds. After 3 minutes if you are using a mug. Cooking time depends on the microwave's power and the size of the molds. When the cakes are ready, you'll know immediately — the batter has risen and firmed up, and a delicious aroma of freshly baked cakes will fill the air.

Step 6

Wait for the cakes to cool slightly and remove them from the molds. If you're making the cakes in a mug, you can eat them directly with a dessert fork. You can sprinkle powdered sugar, grated chocolate, etc. on top of the cakes. If you're making the cake in a large bowl, you can slice it in half and spread cream, jam, etc. between the layers.
