Milanese Pie with Apples and Onions
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry - 2 lbs
- Apple - 21.2 oz
- Onion - 10.6 oz
- Gouda Cheese - 14.1 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion and sauté it in olive oil until golden brown, about 7 minutes.
Step 2
Cut the apples, remove the cores, and slice them into half-rings.
Step 3
Add the apples to the onions and sauté together for about 10 minutes.
Step 4
Roll out the puff pastry to fit the baking tray.
Step 5
Grate the Gouda cheese.
Step 6
Spread the onion and apple filling over the rolled-out pastry, then sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top.
Step 7
Place in a preheated oven at 347°F (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for 20 minutes, then sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top and bake for another 5 minutes.
Step 8
