Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 6.3 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 10.6 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1.4 oz
- 70% Dark Chocolate - 10.6 oz
- Salted Butter - 6.3 oz
- Light Molasses - 4 tablespoons
- Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease a baking tray (30x20x3.5 cm) with softened butter and line the bottom with parchment paper.
Step 2
Sift powdered sugar, flour, and cocoa powder into a large bowl. Set aside.
Step 3
Melt the finely chopped chocolate in a double boiler. Remove the bowl from the pot of boiling water, add the softened unsalted butter and light molasses, and stir until a smooth mixture forms. Let it cool to room temperature.
Step 4
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture and whisk. Then add the dry ingredients and whisk again until a soft batter forms. Pour into the baking tray and smooth the top. Bake in the center of the oven for 20 minutes, until cracks begin to appear on top. The center should remain soft and moist. Let cool in the tray.
Step 5
Invert the baked goods and remove the paper. Trim the edges to make them even, then cut into squares. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
