Ingredients
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 6.2 oz
- Milk - 5 tablespoons
- Vanilla salt - ½ teaspoon
- Desiccated coconut - 2 tablespoons
- Canned water chestnuts - 3.5 oz
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cream the butter and sugar until light. Add the egg yolks to the mixture. Continue to beat.
Step 2
Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add the egg whites to the butter mixture. Continue to beat.
Step 3
Add the milk, coconut, vanilla sugar, flour, and baking powder. Mix until the batter is soft.
Step 4
Add the cherries.
Step 5
Bake for 40 minutes at 356°F until the cake rises and turns golden.
Step 6
Spread cherry jam on the cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
