Description

To prepare, you will need the following equipment: two large and deep bowls, any baking pan with a diameter of 24 cm, a special whisk for mixing, and a regular tablespoon.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour - 10.6 oz
  • Sugar - 7.1 oz
  • Instant coffee - 1 teaspoon
  • Cocoa Powder - 3 tablespoons
  • Safflower Oil - 1 fl oz
  • Salt - ¼ teaspoon
  • Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
  • Champagne Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Vanillin - 0 oz
  • Butter - 0.5 oz
  • Cheese Spread - 2 tablespoons
  • Liquid dark chocolate - 1.1 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

First, turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 ºC.

Step 2

Now take a bowl and sift the wheat flour into it. This will not only eliminate lumps but also help the cake to be fluffy and tender.

Step 3

In the bowl with the flour, add cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix all the dry ingredients together with your hands or a tablespoon.

Step 4

In a separate large and deep bowl, pour in all the sugar. Then add the sunflower oil.

Step 5

Pour room temperature drinking water into the bowl with sugar and sunflower oil. Also, add the white wine vinegar.

Step 6

Thoroughly mix everything in the bowl. Then add the instant coffee and mix again. Don't worry if all the coffee granules don't dissolve; that's not necessary. However, make sure the sugar completely dissolves. Let the mixture sit for a while.

Step 7

Carefully combine the liquid and dry mixtures. It's best to do this as follows: gently pour the sugar-oil mixture into the dry ingredients while using the whisk to help. Mix the batter in slow circular motions.

Step 8

After a while, you can whisk more vigorously. Continue mixing the cake batter until it becomes completely homogeneous. Try to eliminate all flour lumps. You should end up with a thick, slightly sticky, and bubbly batter of a rich brown color.

Step 9

Grease the bottom and sides of any baking pan with butter. This way, you can be sure that the finished cake will come out easily.

Step 10

It wouldn't hurt to line the bottom of the pan with special baking paper (parchment).

Step 11

Carefully pour the prepared cake batter into the baking pan.

Step 12

Place the baking pan with the chocolate cake in the preheated oven. Baking time is 35-40 minutes. This will depend on the power of your oven and the quality of the wheat flour.

Step 13

You can easily check the readiness of the cake with a wooden stick or a regular toothpick. Insert the skewer into the cake. If it comes out dry, the cake is ready.

Step 14

Generously spread chocolate spread on top of the cake. If desired, you can use nut spread as well. Grate the dark chocolate on a special grater to create large shavings. Sprinkle the baked cake with chocolate shavings.
