- Vegetable Oil - 3 fl oz
- Water - 3 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Salt - a pinch
- White Cabbage - 1 head
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Whole egg - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Start by preparing the dough. Mix water (0.5 cup) with oil (0.5 cup) and salt, gradually adding flour to knead the dough. Then cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for about 20-25 minutes.
Step 2
While the dough is resting, prepare the filling by sautéing finely chopped onion and grated carrot. Shred the cabbage and add it to the pan with the onion, frying until slightly golden.
Step 3
The dough will be very pliable; divide it into 14-15 pieces and roll each piece thinly into a rectangle. Place the filling at one edge, fold the edges of the dough, and roll it up. Place the pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the tops with egg yolk. Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 20 minutes.
