Moscow Cinnamon Roll
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Milk - 11 fl oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 1 fl oz
- Cinnamon - 0.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour into a deep bowl.
Step 2
Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
Step 3
Add 100 grams of sugar.
Step 4
Crack the eggs.
Step 5
Add the dry yeast.
Step 6
Cut the softened butter into cubes and add it to the dough.
Step 7
Pour in the warm milk.
Step 8
Mix all the ingredients well.
Step 9
Knead the dough for 7–10 minutes until it is elastic. Place it in a warm place for 30 minutes.

When the dough has risen well, knead it again before shaping.

Divide into fifteen equal balls and cover with plastic wrap.

Mix 50 grams of sugar with cinnamon.

Roll each dough ball into an oval flatbread.

Sprinkle the top with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Roll it up into a tube and seal the ends.
Step 16
Make a longitudinal cut and unfold it into a heart shape.

Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.

Prepare the sugar syrup. Mix 50 grams of sugar with 50 ml of water, bring to a boil while stirring constantly.

Generously brush the finished rolls with syrup.

Serve.
